In our Pasadena studio, the Hearth Collection began as a study in warmth, structure, and everyday living. Rooted in a modern organic design approach, the collection brings together white oak, travertine, and softly architectural forms to create furniture that feels calm, grounded, and enduring.
More than a series of products, Hearth reflects a design language shaped by natural materials, thoughtful proportions, and a quiet sense of presence.
Where warmth meets structure. Hearth is the home’s quiet strength.
1. A Collection Inspired by Warmth, Light, and Daily Living
The word hearth has long been associated with comfort, gathering, and a sense of home. In our Pasadena studio, that idea became the starting point for a furniture collection that feels both structured and deeply livable.
We were inspired by the atmosphere of California living: soft natural light, tonal interiors, and spaces that feel minimal without feeling cold. That balance became central to the Hearth Collection.
Each design began with a simple question:
How can furniture feel architectural, yet still warm and inviting enough for everyday life?
The answer took shape through a series of consistent design decisions:
· softened edges and rounded transitions
· low, grounded proportions
· warm materials with visible texture
· a cohesive visual language across every piece
The result is a collection that feels calm and substantial, designed to support modern living without overwhelming a space.
2. Why We Chose White Oak and Travertine
Material selection plays a defining role in the Hearth Collection. From the beginning, we were drawn to the combination of white oak and travertine for the way these two materials balance each other.
White Oak
White oak brings warmth, strength, and natural character. Its grain adds movement and depth, while its warm undertones create a sense of stability in a room. We value it not only for durability, but also for the way it ages—developing richness over time rather than losing appeal.
Travertine
Travertine introduces contrast in a quieter way. Its matte surface, porous texture, and natural tonal variation soften the overall look of a piece while adding a more architectural layer. It reflects light gently and brings visual texture without feeling overly decorative.
Used together, oak and travertine create a dialogue between softness and structure—one warm and tactile, the other cool and refined. That balance is at the heart of the collection.
3. A Modern Organic Furniture Language
As the Hearth Collection developed, a clear design language emerged across the different pieces. Whether in a sideboard, coffee table, or bedside table, the collection is unified by several shared characteristics:
· grounded silhouettes with visual weight
· rhythmic fluted or slatted detailing
· clean, minimal volumes softened by curves
· an emphasis on proportion, repetition, and texture
These details help the collection feel cohesive rather than repetitive. Each piece stands on its own, while still contributing to the same overall atmosphere.
Featured Pieces in the Hearth Collection
Sideboard
The sideboard is defined by rhythmic panel detailing and concealed storage. It offers practical function while maintaining a soft architectural presence.
Coffee Table
Low and sculptural, the coffee table is designed to anchor a living room with quiet confidence. Its proportions emphasize stability, while its materiality adds depth.
Bedside Table
Compact yet substantial, the bedside table combines oak and travertine in a form that feels both practical and refined, designed for contemporary bedrooms and smaller spaces.
4. The Craft Behind the Collection
Every piece in the Hearth Collection goes through a careful development process in our Pasadena studio. We refine each design through prototyping, material testing, and proportion adjustments to ensure the final form feels balanced from every angle.
Our process focuses on details such as:
· wood grain continuity across surfaces
· clean transitions between stone and wood
· proportions that feel substantial but never heavy
· hand-finished surfaces that preserve the natural character of the material
What matters most to us is not sterile perfection, but refined authenticity. Small material variations, natural grain movement, and subtle textural differences are part of what make each piece feel real and lasting.
5. Designing with Light in Mind
One of the most important elements in the studio is light. It shapes how we evaluate every finish, texture, and surface throughout the day.
Morning light tends to reveal the depth of oak grain. Shadows make fluted details more pronounced. Travertine responds softly to changing ambient tones, adding variation without visual noise.
Because of this, the Hearth Collection is not static. Its surfaces shift gently with the room around them, creating a furniture experience that feels natural, quiet, and alive.
6. Made for Modern Organic Interiors
The Hearth Collection was designed for interiors that value simplicity, warmth, and material depth. It works especially well in modern organic spaces, where minimal forms are softened by natural textures and a more relaxed, lived-in atmosphere.
Its restrained palette and sculptural presence allow it to:
· blend easily into contemporary interiors
· add richness through material contrast
· create a calm, grounded feeling within a room
Rather than dominating a space, Hearth is designed to anchor it. The collection brings visual stability and warmth, helping a room feel settled, layered, and complete.
A Quietly Strong Approach to Furniture Design
The Hearth Collection is more than a group of furniture pieces. It is an exploration of how form, texture, and proportion can shape the emotional quality of a home.
From our Pasadena studio to the spaces our customers live in, each design reflects the same intention: to create furniture that feels grounded, tactile, and quietly powerful.
